Dorothy Johnson Whitaker passed away Tuesday at Florence Hand Home.

She was born April 14, 1954 in Harris County, Georgia to the late, Robert and Sarah Moore Johnson.

Dorothy united with Jehovah Baptist Church early in life where she remained until her passing. Upon graduating High School, she became employed by Callaway Gardens until retirement.

Survivors include her daughter, Lakeysha Whitaker Jones; son, DeUndra Johnson; five grandchildren; one brother, Freddie (Debra) Johnson; and a host of relatives and friends.

The Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Jehovah Baptist Church.

Pastor Michael Slaughter will officiate. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 3707 Pine Lake Road, West Point.

The excellent care of Mrs. Whitaker is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
