John Ray Jr. passed away Thursday.

He was born March 10, 1924, in Whitesville, Harris County, Georgia, to the late John and Maybell Ray Sr.

Survivors include his sister, Clara Mae Moore; brother, Henry Ray; children, John Williams (Annette), Dan Ray, Regina Ray Simmons, John Ray (Gloria) and Veronica Askins (Reggie).

The celebration of life service will be Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Warren Temple United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
