Feed and seed store manager arrested for theft

On Thursday Dec. 12, investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office arrested the store manager of Lee’s Crossing Feed and Seed for allegedly stealing more than $15,000.

According to a press release from TCSO, Robert Powell, 45, had stolen the money in increments over a period of 12 months from the store.

Powell was charged with theft by taking, and the incident is still under investigation.

Lee’s Crossing Feed and Seed is referring all comments to the sheriff’s office.
