Santa Claus has some extra special helpers this year in bringing joy to nine foster children and their families in LaGrange.

The Development Authority of LaGrange with industry representatives from Fokker Aerotron, Jindal Films Americas and Badcock & More, partnered to provide a Christmas party and gifts to children in the Twin Cedars Therapeutic Foster Care Program.

Kelley Bush with the City of LaGrange, explained that local industry was immediately responsive and she was touched by the outpouring of support.

“After my initial email, all nine foster children were sponsored within 25 minutes and hams donated for the foster families,” Bush said. “We are overwhelmed at the generosity and thankful to work every day with partners connected to the community and committed to making a difference.”

Twin Cedars representatives expressed their gratitude for the donations and said that they will make a big difference in the lives of local children.

“The holidays can be a tough time of year for our children” said Kaycee Wilson, recruiter specialist for Twin Cedars.  “This outpouring from the community reinforces to our children that they have supporters inside and outside of our program and that people really do care.”
