Mr. Jackie Darrell Creel, age 72, of Hogansville, passed away on December 23, 2019 at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice.  Mr. Creel was born on February 27, 1947 in Honea Path, South Carolina to the late Chester Creel and Vivian Ford Creel.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Donzella Creel and brothers, Bruce Creel and Tommy Lee Creel.  Mr. Creel worked for Superior Rigging where he had the opportunity to work for the most compassionate and caring boss, Patrick Lewis.  Survivors include his wife, Zelpha Donzella Friend Creel; sons, Russell Todd Creel (Kristi) and Jason Paul Creel (Rebecca); grandchildren, Emily Wilkerson (T.J.), Alex Creel, Jonathan Creel, Elizabeth Creel and Jack Creel; great grandchildren, Landon Wilkerson and Jaxon Wilkerson; extended family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginslagrangechapel.com.  Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home, 706-884-7117.
