Mrs. Mary Ann Buchanan, 85, of 832 Azalea Drive, Lagrange, GA died Sunday, December 22, 2019 at West Georgia Hospice. She was born January 2, 1934 in Rome, GA, the daughter of the late John Goss and Mary Valeri Hadaway. She was a charter member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Catholic Council of Church Women, Highland Country Club, Talisman Garden Club, and a member of the LaGrange Troup County Humane Society, the Atlanta Humane Society. She was also a founding member of LaGrange Academy.

She is survived by a daughter, Carla Ann Morel of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Ansley (Blake) Eskind Reynolds, Levy Rose Eskind, Mark Morel Jr., Mary Morel and Michelle Morel; her brother, John (Mary) Goss Hadaway III (Martha) of Charlotte, North Carolina; a sister, Val Hadaway DeLoach of Blakely, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Witt Andrew Reynolds and Rosemary Cecilia Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Andrew Buchanan.

A Funeral Mass will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. The visitation will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m.  before the service. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1001 LaFayette Parkway or LaGrange- Troup County Humane Society.
