Troup High’s wrestling team enjoyed a successful stay in a tournament in Harris County last weekend.

Seven Troup wrestlers placed, including 285-pounder Michael Irvin, who claimed the tournament championship.

Also for Troup, Camden Roberts (106 pounds), Mason Lumpkin (138 pounds) and Kullum Irvin (145 pounds) placed second, Dylan Hayes (126 pounds) was third, Thomas Fuller (132 pounds) was fourth, and Evan Ferrar (113 pounds) was fifth.

Next up for Troup is the Dariel Daniel Grind on Jan. 3.

LaGrange and Callaway, meanwhile, will compete in the Gary Silva Invitational on Saturday at Gardner Newman Middle School.
