Virginia Barnes, administrative assistant with the community development department, was awarded by the Troup County Board of Commissioners Tuesday morning with the Platinum Yearly Strongest Link Award for 2019.

According to the county, the Strongest Link is an employee recognition program that is given monthly that started in 2019.

Troup County will also now present a Platinum Yearly Strongest Link Award each year to an employee who has demonstrated excellent performance and productivity, loyalty, professional pride and other noteworthy accomplishments. The award recognizes that all county employees link together to form a chain that provides the residents of Troup County with excellent service.

That service is only as strong as its weakest link in the chain. Therefore, all employees should strive to be a strong link in the chain.

“Virginia, we sincerely appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and loyalty that you have put into Troup County,” a press release from the county said. “You have proved that you are, “The Strongest Link” for 2019.”
