Mr. Reuben Oliver Godfrey Jr., age 91, of LaGrange, passed away on Jan. 5, 2020, at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Godfrey was born on Oct. 15, 1928, in Hale County, Alabama to the late Reuben Godfrey Sr. and Burlia Glover Godfrey.

He worked for many years with Georgia Highway Express as a truck driver.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janie Belle Murphy Godfrey, his second wife, Burnice Williams Godfrey and his son, Blaine Godfrey. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Thrower; brother, Bruce Godfrey; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; extended family.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m.
