Benny Lee Cook passed away Thursday.

He was born November 28, 1954 in Franklin, Georgia to the late, George Cook and Johnnie Mae Lay Cook.

He was educated in the Troup County School System and previously employed by Knight and Knight Construction Company.

Survivors inclue his wife, Valeri Cook; daughter, LaTronia M. Avant; four grandchildren; sisters, Diane Heard, Helen (Jerome) Tucker, and Gail Cook; all of LaGrange; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Laks-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.

The family will be at their home at 502B Miller Street.
