Jimmy Dean Bunch

Jimmy Dean Bunch, 76, of Pine Mountain, Georgia, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at the West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange.

Jimmy as he was best known was born March 8, 1943, in Cleveland, Tennessee, the son of Earnie and Mary Burnett Bunch. He was a retired truck driver with Westpoint-Stevens. Mr. Bunch was a member of the Million Mile Club while driving his truck and he loved traveling and reading. 

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Bobcat Association his Army Unit. He was a member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Bunch was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley Bass Bunch, son Bobby Eugene Bunch and several brothers.

He is survived by his daughters Kathy (Eric) Schoonover of LaGrange; Libby (Mike) Willingham of LaGrange; Donna (Cary) Searels of Pine Mountain and Amanda Dean Bunch of LaGrange; brother David (Dorothy) Bunch of Cleveland, Tennessee; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Bunch will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton, Georgia. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Bass Family Cemetery, Pine Mountain, Georgia.
