One man was shot Friday night near the intersection of Ridge Street and Harwell Avenue in LaGrange, according to the LaGrange Police Department.

At about 8:04 p.m., police said officers responded to the intersection to find two men. One of them had been shot in the arm.

The Criminal Investigations Section began an investigation into the incident and determined that both individuals were walking in the area when they were approached by a vehicle described as a possible gray Chrysler.

Police say as the vehicle approached, unknown persons within the car fired shots toward the two men and hit one in the arm. 

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
