Mrs. Sheila Jean DeLamar Crowell, of LaGrange, passed away on Jan. 18, 2020. She was born in LaGrange on Oct. 24, 1943, to the late Glover and Beatrice DeLamar. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crowell is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Curtis “Billy” Crowell Jr.; her brother, Junior DeLamar; her brother-in-law, Paul Pruitt. 

She is survived by her children, Wendell Crowell and his wife Miriam, Chris Crowell and his wife Lisa, and Tanya Hicks and her husband Jeff; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; her siblings, Gloria Pruitt and Larry DeLamar (Bobbie); other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Higgins LaGrange Chapel. The committal service will directly follow the funeral, and will be held at the Restlawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Jimmy McMillian will officiate the services. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Higgins LaGrange Chapel and at other times at the home of her daughter, Tanya and Jeff Hicks, 205 Cumberland Dr., LaGrange.
