Mrs. Juanita Lucile Mason Melton, 97, of Five Points, Alabama, passed away on Jan. 30, 2020, at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Melton was born on Oct. 10, 1922, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Walter Mason and Dovie Sanders Mason. Mrs. Melton moved to Hogansville, Georgia during her childhood and graduated from Hogansville High School. She was employed at Callaway Mills and later retired from LaGrange Molding. After her retirement, she enjoyed being at home, shopping and taking care of her many pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Mason. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Lee; son, Ronny Melton (Jan); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, Andrea Williams, Shamika Peterson, Juoy Baker; her canine companion, Bama. Services for Mrs. Melton will be held on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.
