Mr. Lucious Scott Sr. passed away Monday.

He was born Feb. 17, 1933, to the late Callie Davidson and the late Clyde Scott in Troup County.

He united with Valley Grove Baptist Church and was educated at Jones Street School. Milliken and Company employed Lucious for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Scott; son, Lucious Jr (Betty Blackmon) Scott, LaGrange; a daughter, Brenda (Eugene) Truitt, Stockbridge; a stepson, Jimmy (Sarah) Thornton, LaGrange; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Sara) Scott; aunts, Hazel Williams and Marie Cameron; sister-in-law, Vera Scott; and an array of additional relatives and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church.

The family will be at their home at 304 Woodland Drive. 

The excellent care of Mr. Scott is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
