LaGrange Academy falls at state

The season ended for LaGrange Academy’s basketball teams, who each lost in the first round of the GISA Class A state tournament.

On the girls’ side, sixth-seeded LaGrange Academy fell to third-seeded Oak Mountain Academy 48-33.

Oak Mountain advances to play second-seeded St. George’s in the semifinals, while Flint River and Thomas Jefferson Academy will meet in the other semifinal game.

LaGrange Academy’s sixth-seeded boys’ team, meanwhile, lost to third-seeded Flint River Academy 69-25.

In the semifinals, it’ll be Flint River playing Thomas Jefferson Academy, while Oak Mountain will face Twiggs Academy.
