LaGrange High’s tennis teams both improved to 3-0 on the young season with home wins over Bremen on Wednesday.
LaGrange won the girls’ match 5-0, while LaGrange’s boys’ team won 4-1.
LaGrange continued its season in a tournament on Jekyll Island this weekend.
Here are the results from Wednesday’s match:
GIRLS
LaGrange 5, Bremen 0
No. 1 singles – Sydney Edelson beat Ali Newland, 6-1, 6-2
No. 2 singles – Wone Mi Oh
beat Naomi Bowling, 6-1, 6-1
No. 3 singles – Annie Pauley beat Ella Cramer, 6-0, 6-1
No. 1 doubles – Ella Eiland and Jina Shin beat Malia Pope and Katie McDowell, 6-0, 6-1
No. 2 doubles – Maddie Nolen and Adeline Lanier beat Bess Barrow and Lily Gambrell, 6-2, 6-2
BOYS
No. 1 singles – Pierce Manning (L) beat Noah Seagle, 6-1, 6-0
No. 2 singles – Jinseong Jun (L) beat Aidan Brown, 6-2, 6-3
No. 3 singles – James Cullison (B) beat Ankit Kumar, 4-6, 3-3 (Kumar retired)
No. 1 doubles – Baker Skinner and Yongjin Shin (L) beat Blake Hollingsworth and Braden Wylie, 6-0, 6-1
