Mary Eleanor Robinson, 87, of LaGrange, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at her home.

Mrs. Robinson was born May 29, 1932, in Hogansville, Georgia, to the late Frank Aaron Andrews and Willie Beatrice Harris Andrews. She worked for a number of years as an executive assistant at Uniroyal and also as a volunteer for West Georgia Medical. 

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the LaGrange Women’s Club and devoted countless hours to Bellevue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Andrews.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Gerson Earl “GE” Robinson, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Gerson and Carol Robinson, Jr.; daughter, Melanie Robinson; grandchildren, Holly and Aaron Caverly, Gerson Robinson III, and Scott Robinson; great granddaughter, Aria Eleanor Caverly; other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Max McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Hogansville, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mary Eleanor Robinson.
