Mrs. Barbara Jean Ward “Bobbie” Baker, 86, of LaGrange, passed away on March 10, 2020, at her residence. 

Mrs. Baker was born on Oct. 22, 1933, in Greenville, Georgia, to the late Dewey Ward and Sarah Roberts Ward-Richards. She retired after many years of service from Playtex.

Following her retirement, Mrs. Baker volunteered countless hours and served many years at West Georgia Medical Center as a Pink Lady. 

She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Gloria Baker Lee and Thomas Edward Baker, Jr.; siblings, Lois Jackson, Anne Lawrence and Dewey R. Ward. Survivors include her son, Tommy Baker and his wife Kim of LaGrange; daughter, Donna Baker Mobley and her husband Steve of LaGrange; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Ronnie Lee; extended family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Jimmie McMillian officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenville City Cemetery.
