The Downtown LaGrange Development Authority announced Friday that its major annual block party on Saturday has been cancled.

“After consulting with local and regional Health officials, and our City officials, the DLDA has decided, in an abundance of caution, to cancel our St. Patrick’s Day Event on March 14,” said Executive Director of DLDA Bill Hunnicut. “We will reschedule another block party in the near future. We would like to remind everyone that all the restaurants and bars downtown are open for business and hope people (except those that feel ill or have weak immune systems) will join them for their celebrations.”
