An associate at Milliken’s Duncan Stewart manufacturing facility in LaGrange has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a press release from the company.

“The health and well-being of Milliken associates and their families is paramount to the company, leading the company to take every safety precaution possible,” the Milliken press release said. “In accordance with the CDC recommendations, Milliken will do a deep cleanse of the entire impacted area and follow quarantine guidelines. Once the impacted area is thoroughly cleansed and passes inspection, the plant area will re-open. All Milliken associates who have been in contact with this person will be quarantined. Milliken continues to take precautionary measures to protect the health and safety of its associates, its customers, its visitors, and its surrounding communities.”

Dr. Olugbenga Obasanjo of District 4 Public Health said Monday on a roundtable with city officials that there are four confirmed cases and three possible cases in Troup County.
