Georgia up to 1,247 COVID-19 cases

The latest COVID-19 statewide numbers are in from the Georgia Department of Public Health, and Georgia is up to 1,247 cases.

That number is up from 1,097 on Tuesday evening.

Troup County remains at six cases. District 4 Public Health reported on Tuesday that there were 17 Troup County cases on Tuesday, but corrected that information on Wednesday morning. District 4 Public Health also has Troup County at six total cases.

New on the state report is a total of hospitalizations. A total of 394 people in Georgia have been hospitalized from COVID-19, which is 31.6 percent of cases. There have been 40 deaths statewide.
