The LaGrange Police Department arrested a multitude of females on Wednesday for fighting in larges groups throughout the city.

According to Sgt. Mark Cavender, the City of LaGrange Special Investigations Unit received anonymous information from a concerned citizen that came across numerous videos of several large fights.

Keonna Reeves, 18, Sequayah Russell, 27, Laytronia White, 23, and Alyssia Jones, 18, were all arrested for their involvement in these incidents and charged with affray,

disorderly conduct and cruelty to a child to the third degree. Shaterria Harris, 20, Zymera Bridges, 20, Tamaya Cotton, 18, and three juveniles are still at large.

“It looks like the fights we have happened between March 21 through March 25,” Cavender said. “I am being told there are more fight videos out there that I just haven’t seen.”

Cavender said that the fights were taking place at various locations where a large group of all females, with more than 10 at a time, engaged in what he described as a “street brawl” in residential areas.

“There was definitely a disdain between the groups of girls,” Cavender said. “It was a group of girls from LaGrange, it was a group of girls from Hogansville and a girl from West Point who was running with the girls from LaGrange. There was definitely nothing staged about it.”

Cavender said the videos show an even larger crowd of onlookers, urging the fighting to continue. It was also seen in almost all of these fights that small children, some as small as two years old, were caught in the middle of the groups fighting. In two occasions, the children were exposed to pepper spray when someone attempted to spray those engaged in the fight.

“We think they were added to social media to keep the spark going,” Cavender said.

Cavender added that at one point in one fight an unknown person fired a gun in the proximity of the fight. Some of the people involved in the fights can also be seen using a hand held Taser on people during the fight.

“In light of everything that is going on, this is just an unnecessary risk all around,” Cavender said. “Obviously, I don’t want any adult to get hurt but whenever you start seeing videos like this where there’s innocent kids who can’t control being there because their parents who were involved in the fights, you are putting them in harm’s way. There’s definitely no regard for the safety of the children that were present, nor anybody else that lives there in that community.”

If anyone has any information on these incidents or the whereabouts of any of the wanted subjects, they are urged to call the LaGrange Police Department at (706) 883-2603, 911 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
