Diedre Lyjettie Heard Wilkes passed away Thursday.

She was the daughter of Sandra Lyjettie Heard and Calvin Jerome Jenkins and was born on Dec. 20, 1977.

She united with New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point; and graduated from Troup High School, Class of 1996.

Survivors include her son, Quintero Romero McDaniel, Jr.,  daughter, Khloe Elise Wilkes, Newnan; her father, Calvin Jenkins; one sister, LaSonya Heard, Carrollton; seven brothers, Kevin (Alicia) Heard, Athens; Ervin Jenkins, North Carolina; Kelvin Jenkins, Atlanta; Calvin J. Jenkins, Calvin R. Jenkins, Calvin L. Jenkins, and Calvin B. Jenkins, Chicago; husband, LaKeia Wilkes, South Carolina, grandmother, Lula Mae Heard, LaGrange; five aunts, Valerie Heard, LaGrange; Sylvia Jenkins, Vicki Jenkins, Natalie Jenkins, and Crystal Jenkins, West Point; six uncles, Russell Heard, Darrell Heard, James Heard, Robert Heard, Edwin Jenkins, LaGrange; and Mike Scott, Atlanta; one great aunt, Marie Heard, Atlanta; two great uncles, Samuel Heard and Robert Thomas, West Point; special cousins, array of cousins and friends.

There will be a Public Viewing in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Thursday from p.m. to 6 p.m. A private Celebration of Life Service will follow at a later date.
