Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia has extended its suspension of production until Friday, April 24.

The company announced the continued suspension of production via a press release on Wednesday. Production is now scheduled to resume on April 27.

KMMG’s initial suspension of production began on March 30. It was reported on March 31 that three KMMG team members had tested positive for COVID-19.

During the production stoppage, KMMG has been performing additional cleaning and disinfecting processes in work stations throughout the plant. KMMG said those activities will continue during this extension.

KMMG said it is actively monitoring the situation as well as following guidelines set by local, state and federal authorities.
