Another employee at Milliken’s Duncan Stewart plant in LaGrange has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Milliken confirmed that an additional employee had been diagnosed with the virus but could not provide any other details on the person’s condition.

“While we can confirm an additional associate at our Duncan Stewart plant has tested positive for COVID-19, we cannot disclose personal health information,” the company said in a statement. “We continue to follow the CDC guidelines for safe, essential business operations.”

Milliken said the plant was shut down following the notification of the positive test result. It was unclear when it was reopening.

“It is currently being sanitized following CDC guidelines. In addition, associates who were in close contact with the positive associate have been quarantined for 14 days,” the statement said. “Once the plant reopens, we will continue to monitor associates daily for symptoms, with temperature checks before entering the plant. We also issued masks to associates and keep them at the appropriate social distancing recommendations within the facility.”

Milliken’s first confirmed case was announced to the public on March 23. At that time, Milliken closed the Duncan Stewart plant for one week.
