Nathan Hudson, a student at Lafayette Christian School, worked hard throughout his four years of high school to balance both sports and grades. Those years of work paid off as Hudson will graduate at the top of his class as valedictorian. 

For Hudson, football and schoolwork were two things that went hand-in-hand. According to Hudson, coaches at Lafayette Christian School were invested in the grades of their players, ensuring their team had good academic achievement to go along with football achievement.

“I worked hard to get my grades,” Hudson said. “I was really involved in football, and the coaches were really invested in both the field and the classroom.”

Hudson said being in a private school setting was a blessing. Being in a small environment, he was able to meet more people and make friends easier. The community at Lafayette Christian School was something that Hudson loved about high school.

“Being in a private school, I got to know a lot more people because it’s smaller,” Hudson said. “That was one of my favorite parts of high school.”

One of the biggest supporters throughout Hudson’s high school career was his football coach and history teacher Bill Bryant.

“If I ever had a problem, I knew I could go to Mr. Bryant for help,” Hudson said.

Hudson finished his high school career as a member of the national honors society. He plans to continue his education at the University of North Georgia.
