The city of Hogansville released the name of Jonathan Lynn as the proposed new city manager Monday night.

According to interim city manager Lisa Kelly, Lynn most recently worked for Surry County Government in Virginia as a county administrator.

Per Lynn’s resume, he served Surry County’s government as chief executive responsible for development and oversight of annual budget and work programs designed to implement the legislative policies and priorities of the board of supervisors.

Lynn also served on a regional jail authority board, regional youth care board, two planning district commission boards and criminal justice authority board.

Before that, Lynn was employed with the town of Tyrone as the town manager.

In December, Hogansville City Manager David Milliron was hired to the Danville City Commission in Kentucky. Following Milliron’s departure, Kelly was voted to act as interim city manager until the position was filled.
