61 new cases, one new death reported in Troup County

Troup County saw a large increase in COVID-19 cases on Friday, according to the latest numbers from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Friday’s numbers showed an increase of 61 total cases and a death was recorded in a 78-year-old African American male. Troup County now has 25 total deaths overall.

Troup County has seen its cases increase from 426 to 922 since June 7. That’s an average of 38 cases per day over the last 13 days.
