Queenie Lee Bruce passed away Monday.

She was born Aug. 25, 1941, to the late Harvey Lee Gates and Mary Frances Ervin Gates in Pine Mountain, Georgia. She united with Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandchildren:  Jeremie, Teneisha (Towns) and LaToya (Davis) Hollowan of Montgomery, Alabama, Brandon and Courtney (Towns) Smith,  Kristan (Towns) Zachery, Deon and Xzavier Davis of LaGrange; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Pete Gates, Johnnie Ray (Mildred) Gates and Nathaniel Gates of LaGrange; Leonard (Angelia) Gates of Phenix City, Alabama, and Shirley Ann Gates of Columbus, Georgia.

The service will be Tuesday at noon at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The viewing will be Monday from 6 to 7 p.m.

The family will be at the home of her granddaughters at 1515 Hogansville Road, Apartment 85 (Whispering Pines) and at 404 Bridgette Blvd.

The excellent care of Mrs. Bruce is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
