COVID-19 Update: Troup County cases increase by 25, one more death recorded

Troup County saw its number of COVID-19 cases increase by 25 on Saturday, according to the latest numbers from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Troup County now has 947 cases overall and 112 people have been hospitalized overall. Note that those are overall numbers and not active numbers. The LaGrange Daily News reported Friday that 39 people were currently hospitalized with COVID-19 at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

As part of Saturday’s GDPH update, one more COVID-19 related death was also added, putting Troup County’s total at 26.

Since June 7, Troup County has more than doubled in cases, as the county has gone from 426 cases to 947, an increase of 521.
