COVID 19 UPDATE: 24 new cases reported in Troup County

After three consecutive days of 49 or more COVID-19 cases, Troup County saw a much smaller number of new cases on Thursday.

There were 24 new COVID-19 cases reported in Troup County Thursday, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health, bringing Troup County’s total to 1,233. The 1,233 cases is the total number since the start of COVID-19. There is no official way to track active cases or recovered patients.

No new deaths were reported Thursday, leaving the number at 29. Hospitalizations went up two to 131.

Since June 7, Troup County has averaged 44 new cases per day. Only four times over the last 18 days has Troup County had a day with 25 or less new cases. However, four of those days have come over the last 10 days.
