The LaGrange Police Department arrested a 36-year old woman for setting her father’s walker on fire just after midnight Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Mark Cavender, Carolyn Wright had an argument with her father earlier in the night which then spiraled into her setting his Rollator walker on fire.

“He had gone to bed in another room when the walker was set on fire,” Cavender said. “She had set it on fire in the house.”

Cavender said that the LaGrange Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire before it caused any structural damage to the home. Wright was on scene when police arrived.

“It looked like the daughter lived there or was at least temporarily living there,” Cavender said.

Wright was taken into custody for third degree arson.
