HOLLIS PARMER

1949-2020

Mr. Hollis Parmer, 71, of Wrightsville, Georgia, passed away on July 3, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Parmer was born on Jan. 31, 1949, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Holly and Ina Hill Parmer. He attended Troup County High School. Mr. Parmer loved to farm and garden. He worked several years for H & H Builders, and later went in business for himself. He always had a passion to help older people, and many times he did the work free of charge. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. He loved life and enjoyed cutting up with his family and friends. He had a big rich smile on his face, or a silly grin. He loved to sit and tell stories of his childhood and would say anything to whoever would stop and listen.

He had been battling an illness for several years, but rarely let it slow him down. His smile and laughter always stayed. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Parmer of 49 years and 11 months, daughter Trina Parmer Bullington, son-in-law Jason Bullington, grandchildren Anna Bullington and Garrett Bullington. He is also survived by two brothers, Reuben Parmer (Joyce) of LaGrange, William Earl Parmer (Barbara) of Texas, and five sisters Nadine Moore and Mary Lou Parsons both of Jeffersonville, Margie Noles, Jane Spivey, and Susan Parmer all of LaGrange. He had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He loved and cherished each one.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020, in Mt. Olive Nazarene Cemetery with Rev. L.T. Logue officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the cemetery.
