Fritz Rodney Calton

1967-2020

Mr. Fritz Rodney Calton, of LaGrange, passed away on July 17, 2020. He is the son of Margie Dahlia Calton and the late Fritz R. Calton. He was born in LaGrange on July 26, 1967. 

Mr. Calton graduated from LaGrange Academy and Columbus State where he studied history and real estate. He taught the fourth grade in Harris County for years before starting a career in real estate. He was a lifelong lover of animals. After his years in real estate, he harnessed that love and graduated from Grooming School in Marietta. Following graduation, he managed the Grooming School. He then opened his own grooming shops that he ran as long as his health permitted. 

Even when he was sick, he never complained and did his best to keep a positive attitude. His family will always remember how blessed they were to have him in their lives. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Thompson. However, recently he attended First Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. 

He is survived by his mother, Margie Dahlia Calton and his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The graveside funeral service will be held at Pine Mountain City Cemetery on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain, 100 McDougald Ave, Pine Mountain, Georgia 31822.
