The Callaway Classic will go on as scheduled this weekend, although one of the teams that was supposed to compete had to drop out.

Hardaway was supposed to participate in the two-day event, but it won’t be able to because of a positive coronavirus test.

All of the other teams, including Callaway, LaGrange High, Troup, LaGrange Academy, Trinity Christian, Brookstone, Rockmart, Brookstone and Shaw, will compete.

It will be the season opener for each of the participating teams, although Callaway had a preseason game against Lamar County on Tuesday.

Callaway, Troup and LaGrange Academy will each play three games, while LaGrange will play two games, both on Saturday.

Here is the updated schedule for the Callaway Classic. All games are at Shuford Fields.

4 p.m. – Trinity vs. Rockmart

6 p.m. – Trinity vs. Callaway

FIELD THREE

4 p.m. – Troup vs. Brookstone

6 p.m. – Landmark vs. Rockmart

FIELD FOUR

4 p.m. – LaGrange Academy vs. Shaw

6 p.m. – Brookstone vs. Shaw

SATURDAY

10 a.m. – Troup vs. Dougherty

Noon – Troup vs Trinity

2 p.m. – Columbus vs. Landmark

FIELD TWO

10 a.m. – Sandy Creek vs. Shaw

Noon – Sandy Creek vs. Landmark

2 p.m. – Shaw vs. Trinity

FIELD THREE

10 a.m. – Rockmart vs. Columbus

Noon – LaGrange vs. Rockmart

2 p.m. – LaGrange vs. Dougherty
