Mr. Ethel Thomas Kelley, Jr. “E.T.” passed away Monday.

He was born July 26, 1936, in LaGrange, to the late Mr. and Mrs.  E.T. and Mattie (Patterson) Kelley, Sr. E. T. was educated in LaGrange, received a diploma in refrigeration and appliance servicing from the Troup Tech, enlisted in the US Army, and served in the Army Reserve. He was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church.

E.T. was employed by Milliken and Company’s Hillside Mill, Westinghouse, and Kimberly-Clarke until he retired. Survivors include his wife, Eurie Mae Kelley; two sons, Thaxter (Olivia) of Stockbridge, Georgia; and Kennis (Cynthia) of Decatur, Georgia; two grandsons; several great grandchildren; sister, Ethel Cameron White, Decatur, Georgia; brothers-in-law:  Ervin Merideth (Sandra) of Rialto, California; and Charlie Cameron; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins.

The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The excellent care of Mr. Kelley is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
