Ms. Marie Gunn passed away Monday.

She was born June 15, 1942, to the late Mr. George and Mrs. Ophelia Ann Gunn in Pine Mountain, Georgia; born minutes earlier than her twin Resie whom she shared an unbreakable bond.

At an early age, she united with the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Pine Mountain, Georgia; and retired from LaGrange College.

On Monday Aug. 24, 2020, Marie departed this life at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters:  Mattie Julia Gunn and Annie Lee Gunn; five brothers: Albert Ransom, Jimmy Lee Gunn, Willie Gunn, Little Brother, and Calvin Gunn.

Survivors include her siblings, sister, Resie Gunn; her brother, the Rev. Bobby (Camila) Gunn, Sr., all of LaGrange; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Church Family — all of whom will miss her dearly.

The service will be Friday at noon at Smith Chapel U M Church.

The excellent care of Ms. Gunn is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
