Sara Hogg Reid, age 84, of Mountville, passed away on August 31, 2020. She was born on April 11, 1936, in Mountville to the late Alwyn N. Hogg and Elizabeth Caudle Hogg in Mountville.

She worked for the Troup County School System as a teachers aid. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Reid; and her brother, Willis Hogg.

Survivors include her son, Russell Reid (Lori); daughter, Deanna Reid; brother, Alwyn Hogg; grandchild, Jacob Reid; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

There will be an open visitation from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, and on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. Graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at the Mountville Cemetery with Rusty Creel officiating.
