Local offices will be closed for Labor Day holiday

As citizens celebrate the last days of summer this Labor Day weekend, they are reminded that local offices will be closed Monday in celebration of the holiday.

The City of LaGrange will be closed for business Monday, Sept. 7 and all residential garbage and recycling pickup days in the city will be pushed back by one day.

If your regular pickup day is Monday, it will be Tuesday this holiday week. The City of LaGrange police and fire services will remain open.

The City of Hogansville will also be closed for business on Monday, and its garbage pickup will be pushed back by one day as well. The City of West Point will also be closed for business on Monday.

The Troup County Government Center and all convenience centers will also be closed for business on Monday.

Troup County Sheriff’s Office administrative offices will also be closed for the holiday. As always should you need a deputy, please call 911. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Additionally, all Troup County School System schools and offices will be closed on Monday.

Finally, the LaGrange Memorial Library will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday in observance of Labor Day.
