Coming off their first loss of the season, the Lafayette Christian School Cougars handled home-standing Rock Springs Christian Academy 33-7 on Friday night.

Senior Cason Firth had a monster night for the Cougars with 180 rushing yards, and he scored three touchdowns.

Nathan Karvelas added a 65-yard touchdown run, and he also returned a fumble 75 yards to set Lafayette Christian up deep in Rock Springs territory.

The Cougars’ other touchdown came on a special-teams play.

Luke Taunton blocked a punt, and Ben Dixon recovered the ball in the end zone for the score.
