Sara Ann Vowell Lindsey

1935-2020

Mrs. Sara Ann Vowell Lindsey, 84, of LaGrange, passed away on Oct. 17, 2020. Mrs. Lindsey was born on Oct. 31, 1935, in LaGrange to the late William Green Vowell and Bertie Parmer Vowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Lindsey and sisters, Willie Mae Hunter and Laverne Turner. Mrs. Lindsey, in addition to caring for the needs of her family, was an owner in the family business, Ideal Electric Company. She loved her church family and was a Charter Member of Rosemont Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Bobby Lindsey; children, Jo Parmer (Artis) and Michael Lindsey (Sheila); grandchildren, Charity Jordan (Tom), Cecily Gulledge (Corey), Bobbie Jo Harrington (Dewayne), Seth Lindsey (Rebecca), Christa Lindsey (Robert Poindexter, Jr.), Maryanna Brown (Kyle), Chelsea Greer (Parker), Caroline Lindsey, Landon Smith, Sydney Lindsey, Gracie Parker and Livie Parker; great grandchildren, Jared Tiller, Andrew Jordan, Hunter Gulledge, Ethan Jordan, Grayson Gulledge, Dilyn Harrington, Joseph Harrington, Brantley Brown, Watson Greer, Bridgette Lindsey, Eric Lindsey, Kara Lindsey, Kainnan Lindsey, Robert Poindexter III and Christopher Poindexter; extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Rosemont Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Camp and Pastor Max McCord officiating. Interment followed at Meadoway Gardens. 

Family received friends on Monday beginning at noon at the church.
