LaGrange Academy wins state title

DUBLIN – It’s back-to-back titles for LaGrange Academy’s softball team.
In a hard-fought three-game series, LaGrange Academy outlasted Thomas Jefferson to win the GISA Class A state championship for the second straight year.
The series began on Thursday, and LaGrange Academy beat Thomas Jefferson 2-1.
On Saturday, Thomas Jefferson evened the series with a 2-1 win, forcing a winner-take-all game that same day.
Once again it was tight, with LaGrange Academy edging Thomas Jefferson 4-3 to secure the title.
