Gwendolyn Jones McIntosh

1959-2020

Gwendolyn Jones McIntosh passed away Sunday.

She was born June 13, 1959, to the late Edward Howard “Pat” and Annie Clara Jones.

Gwendolyn was educated in the Troup County School System; and obtained further education at Mercer University, where she  initiated in Iota Sigma Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc

She became an educator for Troup County School System and taught at Hogansville Elementary School for thirty-one years. Gwendolyn retired from the school system May 14, 2014.

She united with Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters:  Whitney, Kyndra, and Kara; her three grandchildren; two sisters; niece, nephews, many adopted daughters and sons.

The service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist on the Square.  The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
