LPD: Man robbed during gun sale

A Fortson, Georgia, man was the victim of an armed robbery during what was supposed to be a gun sale, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

A 21-year-old man from Fortson, met with LPD officers around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19. According to the release, man said he met an unknown man at the cul-de-sac of Cross Creek Court around 6 p.m. to “facilitate the sale of a firearm.”

The victim told police he met with two unknown men, one of whom pulled out a semiautomatic pistol and pointed it at him. The suspect then robbed the victim of the firearm for sale and another, personal firearm. 

The unknown suspects then drove off in a “possible early 2000s model Toyota Camry with dark tinted windows.”
