PERCY R. “TOM” WALKER, JR.

Mr. Percy R. “Tom” Walker, Jr., 82, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Tom retired at the age of 70 as a supervisor after 54 years of service in the flooring industry. The love and devotion to his family was rivaled only by his lifelong work ethic. His values and dedication to his family will be forever remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy R. Walker, Sr. and Sara Bryant Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and James Walls; brother, Jerry Bryant Walker; sister-in-law, Ann Yates Walker.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ramona Morgan Walker of Chatsworth, Georgia; sons, Mike Walker of Marshall, North Carolina and Phillip “Buzz” Walker of Chatsworth, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Trotter of LaGrange, Georgia, Faye and Gene Swann of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Malinda Buchanan of Chatsworth, Georgia; brothers, Bill and Robert A. Walker both of LaGrange, Georgia; sister, Wanda Ann Walker of LaGrange, Georgia; sister-in-law, Linda Walker of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Brandy Adams (Warren), Chassidy McFalls, Julia Trotter, Amber Tucker, Eli Walker, Betsy DeMoss (Mookie), Brittney Buchanan, Tara Ross (Jonathan), Will Trotter, and Sharlie Emberson Walker; great-grandchildren, Colonel and Quincy Adams, Brooklyn and Kenslie McFalls, Perry Seagraves, Jaiven Walker, Drake, Zander, and Braiden Jones, Halen, Abby, and Colin Jackson, and Kaylee Norris.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Walker was held on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth, Georgia. The family received friends on Monday from 1 – 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Ministries: 711 S. Hamilton Street, Dalton, Georgia 30720.
