A car chase that began in Coweta County ended in Hogansville Friday night.

The chase was originally initiated by Coweta County Sheriff’s department on I-85 South.

Interim Hogansville Police Chief Jeff Sheppard said the chase continued onto East Main Street in Hogansville where Hogansville police officers assisted by “spiking” the tires of the suspect’s vehicle.

The vehicle continued west toward the city with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol in pursuit.

The suspect vehicle became disabled near Hutchins Moody Road and East Main Street.

Sheppard said once the car came to a halt, two suspects jumped out of the car and ran into the woods.

A perimeter was set up by CCS deputies, GSP and HPD while LaGrange police officer Josh Noles tracked the suspects with his K9.

The two suspects were captured without further incident a short time later.

The identity of the suspects has not been released.
