Peggy “Marie” Clegg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021.

Ms. Clegg born May 10, 1941, in Thomaston Georgia to the late Martin Smith and Lois Smith. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Madison McDonald Clegg.

She is survived by her son, Alan Clegg, brother, Larry Smith; cousins. Dorothy “Dot” Moore, Marjorie Jones and Luann McQueen; aunt, Lois Smith as well as other relatives and close friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m.  on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.  The gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.  Those wishing to share a condolence or remembrance with the family may do so by visiting www.shlagrange.com.  Arrangements are by Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 1010 Mooty Bridge Road, LaGrange, Georgia 30240 (706) 884-8636
