Grangers score 10 goals in region win

COLUMBUS – The LaGrange Grangers improved to 2-0 in Region 2-AAAA with a 10-0 road win over Shaw on Saturday.

Leading 3-0 at the half, LaGrange scored seven goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to end the game.

Pearson Knight led the way for the Grangers with three goals and one assist, Tripp Hollstorm had two goals and three assists, and Davis Knight had one goal and two assists.

Bryce Kuhn, Jan Alvarado, Caleb Kostial and Toni Sosa had one goal apiece.

Jack Doerr, Bryce Kuhn and Noah Whipple each had one assist.

Last Thursday, LaGrange fell to McIntosh 3-1 on the road.

It was 0-0 at the half, and after McIntosh scored to take the lead, LaGrange’s Jacob Rogers found the net to deadlock the score. McIntosh scored the game’s final two goals to earn the hard-earned road win.

LaGrange hosts Spencer on Friday.
