COLUMBUS – The LaGrange Lady Grangers haven’t lost a region soccer game since 2015, and they continued that trend with a 10-0 road win over Shaw on Monday.

LaGrange (4-4 overall) improved to 2-0 in Region 2-AAAA and moved a step closer toward a fifth straight region title.

The Lady Grangers won region titles from 2016 to 2019, and they were denied a chance to win another one last year when the season was canceled because of COVID-19.

LaGrange hosts Spencer on Friday before playing Columbus next Wednesday at Callaway Stadium in a game that will likely determine the region champion.

LaGrange made easy work of Shaw, with senior Sydney Ormsby leading the way.

Ormsby, who has signed with Columbus State, scored five goals, and freshman Sam Cottle added two goals.

Tatum Fritchley, Malone Aldridge and Morgan White each had one goal.

Fritchley added two assists, and Cottle, Miller Williamson, Morgan White and Ormsby had one assist apiece.
